Consumer Research Groups
Recorded customer discussions, brand feedback panels, moderated product research and service-experience studies.
UK Certified Translation is a network of accredited linguists offering certified, sworn and notarised translations, plus transcription and interpreting. Fast, accurate and fully compliant for all official needs.
Need accurate written transcripts of a moderated focus group or research discussion? Multi-participant audio can involve speaker changes, overlapping voices and specialist terminology, making it different from a single-person interview. Share the total recording length, speaker count, language, audio quality and required level of detail so we can agree a suitable transcript format, speaker-label conventions, cost and deadline.
Focus group transcription records participant dialogue in a format suitable for the research brief. We can discuss variations in level of detail, but participant identity, informed consent and the study’s analysis design remain responsibilities of the commissioning researcher.
Recorded customer discussions, brand feedback panels, moderated product research and service-experience studies.
Group research in universities, education, social science and other academic settings with approved study protocols.
Multi-speaker workshops and practitioner discussions exploring policy, industry or organisational issues.
Facilitated sessions involving community perspectives, public consultation or service improvement research.
Sessions containing more than one language, where translation may need separate scope and terminology review.
Recorded video focus groups with several remote participants and relevant platform sound-quality limitations.
Researchers may need a strict verbatim transcript for discourse analysis or a clean-verbatim text for thematic coding. Participant interruptions, moderator questions and speaker changes can be central to interpretation. We should not silently invent a speaker identity, attribute uncertain words or remove material the approved research methodology requires. Our role is transcription, not recruitment, coding or evaluation of the participants’ answers.
We confirm the correct scope, price, format and deadline before accepting an order.
Send the total minutes, speaker count, research context, audio languages and format.
Confirm study permissions, anonymisation rules and appropriate secure sharing.
Agree verbatim detail, speakers, timestamps, exact price and realistic delivery.
The transcript is supplied with unclear portions marked for the research team’s review.
An individual research interview generally has fewer speaker changes. A focus group may involve cross-talk, brief interjections and several voices at once. Accurate attribution depends on sound quality and any available participant reference information. A transcript can preserve agreed overlap markers and timestamps, but it cannot infer who spoke when the audio does not establish that. Coding and qualitative interpretation remain separate research services.
Confirm the intended use. Transcription does not provide research consent, speaker identity verification or independent analysis.

The quotation depends on total minutes, number of speakers, quality of the recording, background noise, specialist terminology, required speaker identification, timestamps and turnaround. A clear virtual group with controlled microphones is not equivalent to a lively room discussion with overlapping voices. Please share the characteristics of each recording before requesting a final rate.
Frequent turn changes and competing speech often require additional listening and careful uncertainty labels.
Verbatim levels, moderator labelling, timestamps and pseudonyms must match the agreed research format.
The commissioner must confirm lawful sharing, permitted identifiers, secure transfer and project delivery needs.
Choose the specialist service that fits your document, recording or recipient requirements.
The source material and the intended receiving organisation determine what is required from the service.
You can request a quote with participant count, duration and audio details. Speaker identification depends on available source quality.
Yes, participant codes or pseudonyms can be specified as part of the transcript convention.
We can use agreed overlap and unclear-audio markers; genuinely unintelligible words cannot be guessed.
Verbatim and clean-verbatim styles can be scoped, including hesitations and moderator interventions where required.
Not in a standard transcription order. The research team conducts or separately commissions analysis and coding.
Yes, subject to the audio’s usability and lawful sharing. Provide platform details, speakers and desired output.
Send duration, speakers, audio format, study requirements and deadline so we can agree the transcription scope and a suitable confidential sharing arrangement.
